Day #9, Rick Steves Breadbasket Tour of Sicily

​* Pulled into Siracusa yesterday, put up in a 'convent' hotel for 2 nights - rather luxurious, considering there's old nuns in the lobby, and floors you don't go on. (The elevator has floors 1, 2, and "NO.")

* Good town (island, really - Ortygia) to meander, goofing on alleys, churches, and old stuff.​

​* Bailed on today's tour - 7.15am was too early - and wandered.  It seems that we hit the wall after a week on these tours.  Not so good when they go 12 days.

* Need a new drug to sustain - these other tourists seem to cope naturally - really annoying.  Grappa in espresso ("cafe correcto") goes a ways.

* Taking the same old photos - churches, kitties, little Euro cars - ​sucky blogging.

* Wait for the Other Half for real information about Sicily.
